Took the words right out of my mouth!

I thoroughly studied all the religions of the world before I got saved. Read their "holy" books. Attended their meetings, temples, meditated with Buddhists, studied with Hindus, danced with Sufis, ate food with Sikhs. Etc, etc.

But the only people that really seemed to be markedly different because of their faith were the Christians. When I read the Bible, I didn't understand it. That was because I had not met the author.

Once Jesus revealed himself to me, and I believed I knew instantly that the other religions were not true, and taking people away from God regardless of the person's sincerity.

Jesus is the ONLY way. I would not bother to look farther, unless you plan on witnessing to a certain group, then you might want to learn about what they believe, and how to best introduce Jesus, given the content of their belief system. Other than that, you are wasting your time dwelling on false religions.
 
I dont even know these guys who are supposedly fathers, I never read their stuff
 
Well if the Muslims are right, then Jesus never died which means the Christians are wrong. And if Jesus died then that means the Muslims are wrong. And if Jesus is the Messiah then that means the Jews are wrong.

I noticed how much of a different Jesus makes on ones view of God when I was reading a book about "spirituality" that claimed "God does not understand suffering". When I read this I involuntarily exhaled, "BLASPHEMY", but I think this perspective is important. Without Jesus, you end up with a very different picture of God.

the Jews are right. they were entrusted with Torah Spoken By Yahweh and Written as He directed. the disciples all Jewish, even the gentiles who joined yahshua became Jewish.

later, when the Jews rejected the chief cornerstone, they not all did.... and they will return to him the author and the finisher of their life and faith.

for centuries the Jews have rejected 'christendom' and the 'jesus' of 'christendom' because the origin of rcc is of demons and corrupted all that they touched and used and claimed as authority.

as richard wurbrand said "the Jews who reject 'jesus' of christendom(rcc kind) are not rejecting the true messih yahshua - but they are rejecting the false messiah - the false gospel of rcc heresy.

when the Jews see the TRUE YAHSHUA(Jesus) lifted up, they are drawn to Him, Yahweh Willing, and they believe in Him and are immersed in Him and are restored to His Plan, just as HE Planned all along.

the Jews still are entrusted with Torah/ Scripture, even though not all believe yet. many do.

and the Jews have a much more accurate Torah and Scripture, in toto, than the gentiles ever did.

yahweh did not chose any other nation to be his own.

Except for Eusebius of Caesarea, Chrysostom, Polycarp, and perhaps Clement of Rome and Justin Martyr; I cant think of any ECF worth reading, except perhaps much of Augustine-- though he teaches some profoundly bad doctrine.

Theres always just a handful in just about every place that are exceptions like that, nothing outside of those is ever missed too much I agree.
