Human life is sacred, and should be treated as such. You should draw the line in the only safe place to draw the line: before conception.
Note that the US Supreme Court, in it's infinite wisdom, has drawn the line on the other end: birth. US federal law allows a baby to be ripped apart (literally) as it is being born, as long as it's not out past the navel. And the law explicitly states that if the baby accidentally gets out past the navel before they've successfully mutilated him/her, no crime has been committed because it was unintentional. (The atrocious murder is certainly intentional, so what they mean is that the slaughter of the baby is unintentionally completed after it's out past the navel.) You can't tell me that's not murder. Obama says that's only a small percentage of abortions. But I think if even one baby is slaughtered like that at birth, it should make national news. But it's normal for our country.
Also it's interesting that this question is only explored academically, without any video or even pictures of what abortion really is. I'm tempted to post a picture here but I'll refrain. But I'd like to see politicians debate this, with actual video and pictures. No one could defend it with a picture in front of them. But hey let's not look at what it really is.

Many babies are born three months premature and are fully breathing and all that, and they're considered a human life. (And if you or I went to the incubator and killed such a baby, we would be convicted of murder, because that's absolutely what it is.)
So how can we say that they're not a human life as long as they're in the womb, all the way to nine months????

By the way I was never much of a pro-life activist (or any kind of activist), but once I read the actual text of the US Supreme Court's latest ruling on partial-birth abortions -- which basically gives guidelines on how to slaughter a baby as he is born -- I was absolutely horrified.
And just look at one picture.
And if we could see a video, well.......... no person with any humanity could defend such human slaughter.
Now add to that that the main reason for all of it is simply as a means of "birth control" for those engaging in sexual sin. Well it certainly is "birth control", in a very literal (and horrifying) sense.

I have seen an abortion video. I cannot even begin to describe the horror of it. I won't go in to details of the video because you'd ban me, but I will say when I saw the fetus being removed piece by piece there were fully formed body parts(hands, feet and so on).

let me share a little wisdom from Gods word.

In Ex. 21:22-25, the fetus (unborn child in any stage of development) is called the "fruit" of the womb. It does not become "ripe" until it is born and has no spirit (breath) until it is born. The spirit is what goes to heaven, so miscarried, stillborn, and aborted fetuses cannot go to heaven because they have no spirit, it's as if they never were.
How in the world is this even a Christian attitude? Weren't you once lost?

How could you say such a horrid thing to someone?
This is the danger when man moves into the sacred areas reserved for God. It's a pity the goverment's prime role is supposed to protect the life of the innocent and defenseless but instead seeks out new justifications to attack the defenseless.
Do you think it would be better to give birth to all these unwanted children? What kind of life do you think they would have? God does not like abortion and if women were not commiting whoredom, premarital sex and adultery we wouldn't be having this discussion.

I will also add that this is a good point that sin leads to other sin. Immoral sexual acts can lead to the killing of innocent life. If we were stronger and obeyd God's word then you are correct. Abortion would not be as large of an issue. Unfortunately the world is more in to doing what feels good than doing what is right.
In order to prevent abortion we need to teach why sinful sexual acts are wrong. When you think about it Gods law make alot more sense than we think.
