Sometimes the choice to believe that God exists and sent His only begotten is determined when we define what it means to believe in our current situation and circumstances. Sometimes to believe is to first be convinced, and yet temporarily without knowledge and the ability to recognize God. Sometimes to believe is to... hope that what is known regarding God, good, perfect, and all things related to life and godliness can certainly be practiced and experienced through relying on promised (such as...if my people called and humble will pray...etc.
Sometimes to believe is to anchor the soul with hope that God knows what He will do in order to provide the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to receive the...how to perform that which is good in very difficult circumstances (which often we find not...even though we know a measure of good from God already...and have believed that approving of such is great reward.)
For instance... I believe I know how to perform a measure of good and perfect without contradicting a word God has spoken, and in such a way that I believe personally would be extremely rewarding according to the spiritual and real life, and which would also encourage more to a place of continual healing through expanded/more unity with God in practicing the commonwealth of the high priesthood.
I hope and believe that some on this site might listen to this idea, receive it, and trust God for the outcome (there are far too many variables in that game to really know how it will mature).
2 Timothy 1:8-13Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; 9 who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 10 but is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: 11 whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. 12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. 13 Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
