Enduring is when still in the temptation, overcoming is the victory
Jas 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
Jas 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
Jas 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
Jas 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
If a person hates sin, and does not want sin, they can abstain from sin by the Spirit, for they will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh, for they have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts, and show the ways of the Spirit, which they are not under the law, which means their sins are forgiven, and they are not sinning so the law cannot touch them for prosecution.
So there is no excuse to not act Christlike.
Every time we sin we forfeit repentance, until we repent of the sin not wanting the sin, for repentance means to turn away from sins.
Blessed is the person that shall endure temptation, and not sin, for if the person overcomes the flesh they will receive the crown of life.
Which some people think that the crown of life is a reward, but it is eternal life.
That is why the Bible says that the crown of life is given to everyone that loves Jesus, which we know that there is not going to be anybody in heaven that does not love Jesus, but they all love Jesus so that crown is given to each one of the saints and is the reward of eternal life.
There may be rewards for the saints, but the crown of life is given to all the saints that shall be with Jesus.
That is why the Bible says the Lord knows them that are His having this seal, for this is what seals the saints and how they are led of the Spirit, that everyone that names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
But some have a form of godliness, but deny the power thereof, ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth, and hold unto sin and believe they still have salvation.
So enduring would be overcoming for you are enduring temptation and not sinning, which is overcoming the flesh.
