Is God dead? Part 2.
Friedrich Nietzsche couldn't help but admit the reality of a world without God.
Whither is God?" he cried; "I will tell you. We have killed him -- you and I. All of us are his murderers. But how did we do this? How could we drink up the sea? Who gave us the sponge to wipe away the entire horizon? What were we doing when we unchained this earth from its sun? Whither is it moving now? Whither are we moving? Away from all suns? Are we not plunging continually? Backward, sideward, forward, in all directions? Is there still any up or down? Are we not straying, as through an infinite nothing? Do we not feel the breath of empty space? Has it not become colder? Is not night continually closing in on us?
Are we not plunging continually backwards, sidewards, forward, in all directions? Is there still any up or down? On the brink of infinite nothingness. No hope but a continuing closing in of infinite darkness.
Voltaire was a French Enlightenment writer, historian and philosopher famous for his attacks on Christianity. Voltaire also once admitted,
"If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him."
A world without God would be a world without true justice, without law and order, relativism will reign as those in power push their personal humanism and idealogies that match their desires of the flesh.
To chase these desires that contradict the Words of God, they must in return try and defeat the idea of God. But if they truly follow that idea all the way through, then you will find the words, if God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him.
Because without God they must admit good and evil doesn't exist, anything metaphysical doesn't exist, justice is only in the eyes of who is in power, hope only falls into eternal darkness, the evil get the same end as the good, everything remains in a materialist worldview, no one can know the truth but only pieces, laws are only to oppress the freedom of all who are surviving to be the fittest and live the best life before the eternal nothingness comes barging into the individual's life.
Without God we become uncivilized and carnal minded. The desires of the flesh become life. And for all who even utter the words of God is dead, will turn around and live their life stealing the very ideas from God in order to debate against God. Using logic and reason to debate, when logic and reason are metaphysical. Or when some great evil occurs in the world they judge it as terrible but yet teach that objective morality doesn't exist.
No longer could we know up, down or what direction to go as we plunge the culture into internal chaos.
