Is God Speaking!
This is not a direct question for you to answer or reply to, but it is a title of this thread, as it’s a question that is widely asked all over the world. This question is vital and asked many times by Christians and non Christians, and to be honest, left to ourselves we are totally ignorant of God. Well we are! We can deny it all we want, the fact is we are ignorant and that trait is buried in our DNA, not by the creator but by us.
Can you fathom the mysteries of God? Can you probe the limits of the almighty? To answer those questions in brief, the answer would be NO! God is way beyond our understanding and it’s us that need God to reveal himself to us.
Creation is one of the main ways in which he does so. The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. The sheer size of the universe and it’s amazing balance, and variety and beauty reveal a great deal about God who created it. In creation God shows his stupendous power, awesome intelligence and brilliant imagination.
Since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so we people are without excuse. So how can we question it? Why do we question it? When clearly the creation is there to be seen?
When we communicate with one another we rely heavily on words to help us understand the communication better. Well God also speaks to us through words – the words of the Bible. Nearly 4,000 times in the Old Testament alone (500 times in the first five book) you will find phrases like ‘the Lord Spoke’ the Lord commanded’ and ‘the Lord said’ This is why it is claimed that scripture never had its origin in the words of MAN, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy spirit.
Look to the history, in no other literature can you find scores of clear and detailed prophecies made by men claiming to speak from God, and later fulfilled them to the letter. The odds against that happening by chance are too vast to be taken seriously. I am not calling those claims a liar, however not one of them has shown deadly or true accuracy to what they claim.
Then there the Bible’s impact on people’s lives which no other book in the world past or present has ever had such a life-changing power. Millions of people, over thousands of years, have proved by personal experience that the Law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul. The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to our eyes. You need to ask yourself this question? What book, what word has giving you such powerful experience and called to you in such a way as the Bible has? So how can you question is God speaking? When all this evidence is right there in front of you?
After 2,000 years no expert in any fields what so ever has disproved a single statement in the Bible. Well the reason for this is because: All scripture is God-breathed words. We should therefore accept it not as the word of men, but actually it is the word of God.
So let’s ask that same question again, is God speaking? By now you will see that God has already spoken from the very beginning of life itself.
