is halloween evil?

hey everyone ;)
i really need to know what u think about halloween. the question is should christian people go to halloween parties? i went to one and honestly i didnt feel dat i was doing somthing wrong. my best friend was surprised and reacted like ive just commited the wrost sin ever. im confused now.i personally think its not a bad thing. but i really want to know ur thoughts. pleeaassee!!!!! :)
 
there is tonnes of threads about this, I don't think it is evil but others disagree. Many disagree because they do not have the facts.
 
I am so in-Love with God...AND...I went to HaLLoween stuff aLL weekend. It was a bLast, and I don't feeL it is wrong either. The Hoy Spirit wiLL guide you, so Listen. It may be wrong for some for whatever reason and ok for others. PeopLe have their own personaL convictions.
 
If you're glorifying evil, yes. If you aren't glorifying evil, then no.
 
The thing about the facts is so true. I blindly believed in a lot of what my dad brought me into. Halloween being evil was one of those things I blindly agreed with. When I recently wrote an article about the history of Halloween, everything my dad had told me didn't even appear on any of my online source material.
This weekend I worked at a "haunted dungeon" at my school where the money earned went directly to a charity in Vietnam. Good can come out of something that some may perceive as wrong.
 
it all depends on what you make out of it, the idea of it originally being pagan is completely false.the pagan holiday and Halloween or "All Saints Day" happen to fall on the same day.. just like Christmas, Christmas has so many pagan things mixed in with it, and Easter too. I don't care what anyone says.. there is nothing wrong with letting your kid dress up as a frog or princess, and free loading candy off people. Even if it is the devils holiday (which it isn't) Christians should stop running from the devil, and face him, make it a holiday for Christians.. my church has a family fall festival on Halloween, which offers a safe envoronment for kids, without all the gore, etc.we have worship, and a preacher, food and games, etc.
 
As you all know,how you define this,ah so called holiday,depends a great deal, on whether this is sin to you personal! To some,it is just a time for fun,to others, it can be a stumbling block.( rom 14:13-22) I do not judge this upon anyone! I do not myself partake in this.That does not make me better then any either!

But why I do not, may help one understand the reason I do not. Halloween is about fear. The fun of it?? Now if one holds to the Bible as the way they wish to live,we find out perfect love casts out all fear.( 1 john 4:18) And if one is looking for the perfect love we can find in Jesus,then why would we look to,or covet having fear, or scaring another?

I am not going to get into why in most occult practices this season is important,I think many of you know why it is. The only day more important to ones in the true and real occult,is ones birthday.This is second. What Halloween truly is,is to acknowledge the spirit world. That is its true purpose.

Many see this as harmless,fun,and just a time when we can let our hair down, and become something else in life. Many wonder why they are fearful,they like it when they choose to be,but not when they do not. Can you ever picture Jesus or the disciples dressing up for such an event??LOL

To me there are enough evil forces in the World, then to dress up as one myself.( eph 6:12) ah( gal 5:17) The flesh loves to lie to itself,that is what we fight as well everyday. I judge no one in this practice,if that is what one wishes to do,but I will not partake of it either.

Consider this please. what is the true spirit of this day? look here please to see the deeds of the flesh.( gal 5:19-26) You answer this question,you know what to do,or not do. From verse 22-26 what is Halloween compared to having this? Or is Halloween closer to verses 19-21? You do not need me to tell you!You already know!! blessing all!
