Is infant baptism biblical?

I dont think it is biblical, because one would have to believe first.

Both sides are dug in their trenches it seems with no desire to be convinced it seems.
At this point isn't this an I'm-right-athon?

Well, to me baptism is an outward showing of the allegiance of a faithful heart.
So...I know the thief on the cross wasn't baptized.
But, I do think it is important to make a public exhibition, (more than a profession).
As for infant sprinkling.....I don't know.
(I don't see why not?)
So you are saying Timothy was baptized as an infant Zone?

i'm not saying baptism saves you, i'm not saying you're not saved if you haven't been baptized.



i'm saying Timothy was raised in the scriptures (OT) from a child.

the scriptures (NT) tell us to be baptized.

there is plenty of evidence entire households were baptized.

i would baptize my children, and raise them in the faith.

Hey can i just ask, if babies/children don't know Christ and haven't been baptised, then what does everybody think happens to them when they die? Does God save them? Or does He send them to hell?
 
God is merciful. This is pure speculation but I believe God would give them a chance to accept his grace because his Law is written on everyone's hearts.

I haven't had time to wade thru the next couple of pages of posts, hopefully this evening I can play catch-up. But let me make one quick observation here.

I think most of us are here to share, learn, and grow our faith. Anyone here with the intent to 'demolish' anothers faith is, well, let's just say there's a name for one who works to 'demolish' other's faith in God. Shall I name that name?

We are actually born innocent, and God holds us as such until we reach an age of accountability, the point in our growth where we think we're smart enough to decide either way.
