It depends, I think, on the motive. A quick peck on the cheek, or even lightly brushing lips for a moment, just to show affection, is probably ok. It is those long, lingering, sensual kisses that could lead to trouble, by escalating the relationship before you want it to.
It's too bad we don't know exactly what Paul was saying when he said "Greet each other with a 'holy kiss'".

I see it as... if you know you will be, or feel, a bit tempted for more than a kiss than you shouldn't do it at all.
But because I haven't read the Bible this is what I know; if there is more & I am wrong than please let me know.
We can't always control ourselves & its best to stop yourself if you doubt your self-control. Have respect for one another because understanding your girlfriend's or boyfriend's self-control is also key, it takes 2 people to control a relationship & above all God first.

Yes it is, its also a sin to go to the doctor, spank your child, read any other version but the KJV, look at the opposite sex, celebrate christmas, wear make-up and date.

And be sure you write down all your sins on paper so you don't forget any of them when you go to confess your sins to Father O'Malley. And don't forget to separate the mortal sins from the venial. (There is a difference, you know!)

Kissing in itself isn't wrong. There is a wrong way to kiss your girl though. Your kiss reflects the intent of your heart, therefore if you cause each other to lust with your kisses then it is a sin. Conclusion, don't kiss each other in a way that will cause you both to lust.
