Is it better to burn with passion??

Hey everyone.

I have a question for you. In the Bible Paul wrote
1 Corinthians 7:9 " it is better to marry than to burn with passion".

My question is this. How do I know when I'm experiencing a normal amount of temptation vs when passion is consuming me?
 
I dont think its a question of temptatation but rather a matter of being able to master the urges without living sinfully. If you can hold yourself then simply find a wife
 
Sexual desires are not, in themselves, temptations, but natural and normal feelings. Yet we are not to give in to every impulse and desire. Merely having moments of struggle is not being consumed.
Think about the word "consumed" more deeply. That's the key.
But the trick is that getting married isn't as easy as it used to be. So for people actually being "consumed" it can be a difficult time because of the wait. Or tendency to rush into a bad relationshop.

1. you cant stop thinking about committing sexual relationship (sin of mind adultery)
2. you start acting on these thoughts (masturbate, watch porn), and finally, actually fornicate with others. sin of sexual immoralities.

thus, it's better to marry if you think you cant control your urge, because once you're married, having sexual relationship with your wife becomes a means of worship and procreate while learning the joys and pains of being husband and wife, giving you somewhat an insight of how GOD's highest degree of relationship with HIS brides (us, humans) works
 
First, you will feel as if a part of you is hotter than usual.

Then, you will start to smell something rather unusual from that hot part.

Then, once you actually check that part, you will see something bright and orange on there.

Then, that orange thing covers more of your body, and you will feel hotter there, too.

If this happens to you, marriage won't cut it. Just stop, drop, and roll already!
 
For me there is a threshold of to which I can physically handle. So if I find myself purchasing ice packs I know I'm in for a long night of prayer. Then it's just a matter of determining critical placement of said ice packs.

In all honesty I think it could be as easy as observing a trip to whole foods. If your finding yourself constantly evaluating which rabbits have the best veggies, well it maybe time to take a deep breath, have a glance only glance at whats in their cart, and as them how hot they like their
stir fry.

Probably better to have cold showers until you know the person your burning passion is for is the one you want to spend the rest of your life with.
Marriage is not built on sex neither on feelings either.

Trust me as a married man, in the morning when my wife turns over and says "Morning" with morning breath burning passion doesn't find to mind.

I'm sure my beautiful wife would say the same about me as well.

So until your sure that the person of your desire is the person you want to spend the rest of your life with and know they are from God, keep having the cold showers.

Well to be honest temptation just enflames ordinary thoughts into a false reality,though my mind still wonders from time to time or even worse seeking out fleshy stuff,two things help me to even get through a week without scorching myself with the embers of desire,lust,and arousal,playing a church song in my head while serving God as best I can,and focusing my thoughts upon the one person I feel I love instead of just feel passion for,I have been through several crushes and all they do is delude you into seeking a future that you aren't actually committed to,Passion isn't enough,in my view honor is important,because if you just think on fleshy things all day how can you expect to have a "decent" conversation with any female you may love?
This is what I feel has ruined me so bad,I have seen too much expicitness early in life and my brain I keep having to reprogram,because my mind still thinks of it as good thoughts where as I see it as disgusting and pointless,also that burning passion may just be a flame,there are many people who are attractive looking and your mind can go bananas,making you think that you are "burning with passion for someone" when really you just think they are I guess the best word would be "hot",and so can't distinguish the difference between seeing someone attractive looking,and someone you find attractive that you may be serious about because of more than just a pretty face,you like their personality,their ideas,their humor,if you can't find this within yourself that you like about someone then you just have a "crush."(temporary infatuation due to seeing someone very attractive looking and your mind goes on vacation)

If the one I want does not come around by then, I’ll latch on to the first single man over 18 who appears interested. At this point, the only requirement is being born with XY sex chromosomes, but in two years, that may be negotiable, too.
