The phrase judge not, should not be mistaken with the act of correction by discernment. To judge not, is in essence saying do not judge down upon an individual whereby lifting oneself above. However, to judge is not forbidden if it is to discern by pointing out an error, or discern in order to prevent a problem. The words of Christ to us are, judge not, and you may not be judged. However, did not the apostle Paul withstood the apostle Peter? By judging his motive, the apostle Paul pointed out the wrongdoing of the apostle Peter. In so doing a rift was prevented within the early Church. Both men eventually came into one understanding. So then, was this a contradiction? Absolutely not.

In order to understand the scriptures, there is one rule which ought to be the guideline, that is, the Word of God (the Bible) is without any contradiction. Therefore, the presumption of contradictions in the Scriptures, is the case of a misinterpretation. Misinterpretation is the absence of understanding. To understand is to learn and be informed. One cannot understand unless there is a distinction between the truth from falsehood.

The distinction between the truth from false is the act of judging.
Therefore, one cannot exist without judging, but he who judges, let him judge to correct. Though it be unpleasant to the one being judged, but it shall be for a gain in the end. Can a parent spare the feelings of a child by the refusal of the judging of the child's wrong doing because of love? Or shall an officer of the law, not judge the following of a lady by men on a back-street?

A nation or people who no longer judge are people without discernment, one without discernment cannot make up one's mind. Therefore, they become prey to delusion and control. In their silence to judge, their God given unalienable Rights shall be silenced.

Maybe it might be easier to glean the phase Judge not ,, linguistically or legislatively by clarifying where you are coming from ....NOTE most people understand scripture linguistically and the opinions are many , however the legislative meaning is single and will be accepted or rejected ...

Hi I'm new, and this is my first reply.

I did not see this window to leave a comment on any other posts,
but thankfully here I see an open area, to type into, so I can leave a reply.

This is actually an Easy Answer.

To those who are not awake, who have not come to understand the truth of a Saviour, for their sins. We are NOT to Judge, but just sow GOOD Seeds without provoking anger, and then Hope and Pray that their heart, will become awoken, so the Good Seed will take Root.

But to all those who are awoken, and claim they have the Good Seed, the Good News, planted, with root, in their heart's Soil. Then by their actions, and fruits, WE MUST, judge one another; BUT with love and Kindness! ((For We ALL make up the Bride of Christ, and she must be without wrinkle and spots, prepared and ready for the season, when the Groom makes the Call, for the marriage.)) This is Why WE ARE ALL Bridesmaids, and the truth of the Bridesmaids, back in the day, they ALL were Virgins, and were (1) with the Bride, to help her be prepared for her Wedding day, and it would happen at any moment, in a certain season, when the Groom was ready to make the call, He was coming To Wed the waiting Bride. ((Hence, the Bride, is the Body, Church of Christ; and the Body, is ALL Bridesmaids, ALL are to Help prepare the Bride to be Ready. However within the parable of the 10 Bridesmaids, We learn only half are Wise, and the other half are foolish. Wise means, to have Wisdom of the Holy Spirit Oil, which helps to keep the Holy Living Fire, HOT, First Love, Passion, for their King. So YES we must help each other to be prepared to be WISE and have the Oil, Wisdom of the Holy Spirit to Be Ready. AND SO, it is very important, to learn how to JUDGE one another, with Kindness and Love, like a flock of migrating geese, who hock at each other, to KEEP UP, don't be discouraged, so a Beautiful Bride will Endure to the End, and be prepared and ready to marry her coming Groom.

Finally the part of Judge NOT, so you are NOT Judged, is for both ...

1) for all who are asleep, and have not awoken....
Be Kind, loving, for they know NOT, what they are doing wrong ...

AND 2) Don't judge a brother in the Lord, IF the same log, sin is within you.
Take out the Log of Sin first, and then can help others to remove their Sins.

Finally .... People in the World, who have grown thick with Sin,
it is the time of Noah and Lot, and many will not wake up.
Abba Father knows every heart, and thought,
and He has chosen the right ones, to be His Bride, whom He wishes to gather.
Don't worry about Judging the Cold. Just Sow clever parable seeds,
and let the Holy Spirit help open the eyes and ears to see and hear.

For There is a Millennium of a 1000 years of Light coming,
and a Just and Loving God will bring ALL the Cold into the Light,
so they can learn with complete clarity, and no deceptions, before the end, and final judgement comes.

Truly the only ones the Wise, Hot Bridesmaids, should judge,
are the Lukewarm, Foolish, for they will not make it, but will be spit out of the Grooms mouth. BUT ONLY by Gaining Wisdom, by asking God for much Wisdom, and then going out with total Love and Kindness, should the Wise Bridesmaids Judge the foolish ones, in order to help, so some don't fall away, and endure to the end, by having the Oil in their Lamps too.

Hope this helps

Bro, the simplicity used to illustrate a point is refreshing. Your other post on Angels, step on my toes a little. But I get the point
