now a days. . . . .i really don't know. T-T which is totally sad. even adults tell me "honey don't settle for some guy, if i was your age i wouldn't even get my own mail cause some man would be doing it for me". but i feel like what has this world come to when i wanna get to know someone for marriage and my elders are telling me to shop around and be sure of what i want? so sad, so sad.

Whether it is doesn't change the fact that it should be. Why be in a relationship if its not going anywhere? For those who try it generally get the point where they break what the bible commands about relationships (i.e. no fornication outside of marriage, no sexual immorality, etc).

Just because society is going a certain way does not make it right, we must hold true to God's word.

ok my question about marrage
:--- at what point are we married ??
are me married when the pastor says * you may now kiss your wife *
or are we married when we make our vowes ?
or are we married when we first have sex ???

so my question for you all is this :--- at what point are we married ?? ! !!!!

a wee point you may want to know is that all marrages were done outside the church no one got married in the church about 300 years ago ,,,, it moved into the church because the church founf out it could make money out of weddings thats why churchs now do weddings

You are married when you kiss your bride at your wedding, whether it is a big lavish one in a church or a small one with a justice of the peace and two witnesses, when you commit to a life long relationship with your bride before God and man, for better or worse.

Note: The first time you have sex is MEANT TO BE the consummation of the vows that you make to your wife!

so if your married when you kiss your new bried why were so many marrages aunled (spelling) when they didnt have sex ,,, this took place in the in world war one and 2 and still takes place today ,,,no sex you not married and that the law ,,, so i ask again at what point are we really married

That is human law, We are married when we covenant together (make our vows, confirmed by a minister(or a justice of the peace)). Then you can enjoy the gift of sexual intimacy with your wife. In the gospels we find that Joseph married Mary, but did not have sex with her until after Jesus was born, so you are indeed married before sex.

so your married when you make vows to each other ,,,,, well then thats what 2 people do when they just live together they make vows ,,, so that makes them married then ,,,,

thanks for clearing this up for me

NO you are putting words in my mouth, they need to be confirmed by witnesses and a minister or justice of the peace before God.

To a lot of people, they date to "have fun" and meet people.

I'd say that it is the end goal of serious couples who date for the purpose of one day finding a wife or husband. But there are a lot of people out there who either don't want to marry and yet they still date, or just date to fill temporary sexual needs :(.

Yea I agree, my opinion is you shouldn't date someone unless you see them as someone you could possibly marry. Get to know someone in the context of friendship first, if they seem to be someone you could see yourself marrying then date/court them with the express purpose of marriage.

so your not married unless you haqve a pastor or some one who can over see a marrage ,,,,,, so 300 years ago all the people belfore the church weddings were not married ,,,,,

right i think you need to look at the histry of weddings and marrage

Society changes, back then they had an equivalent, that doesn't rule out what I have said. Hey you can get married by a captain on a boat for all I care, as long as you are truthfully committing to each other for life before God and witnesses and it makes you legally married for life. You're trying to excuse those who say garbage like "I love you and you love me, so we're basically married, so its fine if we live together and have sex, and when we get tired of each other we will move on", Marriage is meant to be an important commitment between two people and God to love and cherish each other for life! If you are not willing to wait for your wedding night to have sex, than you are sinning pure and simple. If you are not willing to get properly married in front of God and witnesses than you don't love your woman enough!

Depends on the couple. For many, yes it is. For others, maybe not so much. All the same, for those trying to live by scripture, yes.
