Is Noah's ark in Turkey?

I've heard that there are possible locations in northern Iraq also. I hope they find some evidence wherever it's at.
 
The Bible said the ark rested on the mountains of Ararat, which is in modern day Turkey. As far as I know it could still be there, (or the remains) no other country has claimed it or moved it.

I don't doubt the Bible record of what happened to the ark after the flood waters receded.

Well, the Ark was better than the Titanic. it didn't crash into an iceberg and drown. If I recall Joanna Lumley investigated and some scientist tried to tell her it was just a rock formation that slid down from the mountain and not the site of Noahs Ark at all.

We could always just ask her what she thought it was. Above is the anchor stone said to have been used by the Ark to stabilise it as was floating on the water.

Anchor stones are still there even if the boat/ark has moved somewhere else/rotted/wrecked

So, yea. Why are people trying to deny what is there.
 
George Hagopian's Eyewitness Account
    • The Journeys: Hagopian claimed he visited the Ark twice as a young boy, first around 1902 and again in 1904. [1]
    • The Guide: He stated that his uncle, who lived in the Lake Van area, took him up the mountain during a rare, low-snow summer. [1, 2]
    • The Sight of the Ark: They found a massive, long wooden ship-like structure resting near a high cliff in the Ahora Gorge area of Mount Ararat. Hagopian claimed it was heavily coated in a dark pitch (resembling shellac or bitumen), and the wood was so heavily permineralized that it felt as hard as stone. [1, 2]
    • Walking on Top: His uncle reportedly helped him climb onto the flat roof of the structure. In a later, famous interview taped in 1970, Hagopian recalled looking into an opening on the roof but noted that it did not have a conventional door on the side.
    I have the paperback book The Ark of Ararat and having read it decades ago, tend to believe this man's recount. He was older when he released his story and as I read his section in the book , he seemed very honorable and real not wanting any fanfare.
  • Of all the tales of Noah's Ark, his resonates with me bc his uncle was familiar with the weather conditions and his account of the description of the Ark...is amazing.
  • As I recall, he took paperwork of his visit to some govt authorities, they conviscated it and now no one is allowed to explore Mt Ararat. But I say yes, it's there right where the Bible says it is, of course.

The only problem with Hagopian's account is no one has been able to substantiate it. On the other hand, the Durupinar formation is real and can be studied. Maybe it will turn out to be the ark or maybe not; but at least it's a real thing everyone can see and examine.

Idk the Durupinar formation and may check it, I find Mr Hagopian's acct to make sense and I can't find a reason for him to lie about his experience. That's just me though, lol. Love this topic!
