Is polygamy ok to God?

It's really very simple to answer, Gods will is that we as believers in one God, should not marry anyone who makes God more than one God but marry someone who believes in one God, marry someone of the same belief, it's just that simple.

I am saying the same thing, if you believe in God, then He dwells with in you and you need not that any man should teach you otherwise but as He teaches you of such things and is truth and He does not lie and as He has taught you, you shall abide in Him. ( I'm saying the same thing )

You say, you do not Pay my teachings no mind, you just lied because you responded to what I said, so you do pay attention to what I say but I forgive you, you should be more careful.

Christ is saying that divorce does not exist. Therefore the second wife is adultery, even when we have a paper that we are divorced. We are not.

The man who divorces and marries another commits adultery because he still have the first wife in the eyes of God.

I am gonna mess with you guys a little, he,he. Why did Jesus tell the woman at the well that she had five HUSBANDS, and the man she was presently living with was NOT HER HUSBAND. By saying that, Jesus recognized all five marriages as being legal and by pointing out that the man she was presently living with was not her husband, Jesus made it plain that living together is not marriage.

If Luke does not exist, you could say this.

But we have Luke. Next wife is adultery, sorry. The woman had 5 husbands and some lovers... but it is adultery in the New Covenant.

The Greek word translated here as "husband" actually just means "man."
It can be translated "husband" but could just as easily be translated as "man".

"You had 5 men and the one you have now is not your man"... what would that mean?

Maybe "You had 5 men and also the one you have now is not your husband" would make sense.

It very depends on the choice of a translator, I think... many meanings can be created.

Actually in the English-speaking world many married women will refer to their husbands as "my man" meaning "husband".
That same also goes for unmarried women referring to their boyfriends.

Yeah, in my language too and in Greek too.

Thats the reason why several meanings can be created in this verse... words can have at least two meanings.
 
Forgive me for not reading this whole thread, but allow me to chime in with this:

If divorcing your wife and sleeping with another woman is adultery, then sleeping with another woman while you're still married to her surely is too.

OT folks were allowed by Moses to commit adultery within the confines of polygamy because their hearts were hard. I see it as anyone who wants to go to bat for polygamy is in effect declaring the hardness of their hearts. But God has opened up for us the way of the Spirit to not be enslaved by hardness of heart any longer. That means we have the sensitivity of heart to now not hurt a wife by committing adultery against her by bringing another woman into the relationship.

And you know, one of the foundational tenants of the Christian life is that we treat others the way we would want to be treated. So I ask all Christian men how they feel about their wife being able to sleep with another man. Even if you're creepy and you get turned on by the thought, it won't be long before jealousy gets the better of you. And if a wife is okay with her husband sleeping with another woman, even if in the confines of a polygamist marriage, I suggest that is a wife that does not love her husband. Polygamy is a loser all the way around.

God said that when a man and woman came together in a sexual relationship they 'knew' each other, and cleaved to each other, and if it was the first time then they were married in God's will. They cleaved to each other (Gen 2.24) and He blessed their marriage whatever their beliefs. This was His will. Any subsequent sexual relationship with another after that date was adultery.

Jesus made no distinction between believers and unbelievers in that regard

If anyone marries someone out of the will of God...
more than likely it is not God that joined you and your wife together.
Or bless your marriage.

Now can you accept it?

I would have to disagree with the last part of your statement.
