P
You guys went into a personal discussion on what you have personally seen and heard and this 15 year old (who sounds like she too is born of HIS SPIRIT) discerned something off in her friends.
Instead of addtessing her and her concerns for her friends all of you began to validate things that you personally experienced
This does not help her
nor does it help impressionable and vulnerable 15 year olds who run the risk of being led by sensual carnal things having never entered in by way of CHRIST, born of HIS SPIRIT therefore not able to discern the spirits and what is of GOD and what isn't
Quote "So, are you trying to say that the people who have never experienced these things aren't easily moved by the Holy Spirit? (please explain more because i still don't really understand)
Im saying some are more open to the moving of the Spirit as per tongues.
Quote "what i am asking is, are those things really coming from the Holy Spirit? When a priest pushes you down and you suddenly move uncontrollably, is it because of the Holy Spirit? "
I never said being pushed down was of the Spirit. You are making assumptions.
Quote "People are allowed to dance, jump, and give applause at the end of the song. They usually cry and shout and do all those concert things in some songs. Besides, they have this (strange) ritual of falling down and moving uncontrollably and claim that it is done by the Holy Spirit"
I would have to attend a service to see whether this is the flesh or of the Spirit. If its a free for all,its in the flesh. If someone hears a song that moves them to tears is that against the Spirit? No. If someone gives a shout of praise is this against the Holy Spirit or says amen to the preacher? No. While I have seen people dance with joy, briefly, that is more of a rare occurrence. I personally agree with dancing just to dance to music in a concert. I haven't been slain in the spirit but members in my family have. They did not move around but simply prayed quietly to themselves. But again, its something Ive rarely seen. Ive also been in services where everything was done in the flesh and you can tell the difference. If you felt wrong in your spirit perhaps what they were doing was in the flesh. But that doesn't mean everyone is in the flesh that experiences these things.
I noticed that in some kind of churches, C These Churches believe that that's how the Holy Spirit works.
However, i kind of doubt it. I believe that the Holy Spirit work in us to make us brave in telling people about Jesus, keep us in the right way, and many other productive things. Whereas, in the belief of some people from certain churches, the power of Holy Spirit is about making people fall down and say weird things. Well yea, it might be the part of the power, but why do people keep emphasising it like it's the only power of Holy Spirit?
My question is, does that thing (making people fall down, laugh uncontrollably, hold a service without any liturgies because they believe that everything will happen spontaneously by the power of Holy Spirit, etc) REALLY come from Holy Spirit? If it does, why do people keep glorifying (acting like it is the only amazing thing about Christianity), where actually as Christians, we are supposed to worship Trinity equally?
p.s. i don't know what these churches are called in English, but probably it's Charismatic (Bethel)
MikNic has continued to attack people in different threads. She tried to start an argument with me in another thread but I refused to bite. Thats why she is being told to stop.
There is no Scriptural support for this nonsense. So rest assured you should move on.I am still not sure if the whole falling down and laughing is from the Holy Spirit, i have found no parts of the Bible specifically says that. And to be honest i find it against my conscience.

My friend went to a Christian event and he got pushed so hard by the preacher but he refused to fall down so eventually the preacher left him. And that makes me even more sure that it's not how the Holy Spirit is supposed to work.
