Sunday school takes your child away for a long time at the weekend and does not seem to obtain the results you wish. What is the answer?

Do you mean when the children depart during the pastor's Sunday teaching to the adults present?
How long are you thinking that is?
Sunday School has my grandchildren for a total of less than three hours per week. About half that is on Sunday and the rest is on Wednesday evening. Their Christian education is primarily taught at home.
There are Baptist churches that I know of that don't have a Sunday school program.
The children stay with their parents.
There are private rooms made available for babies that might get fussy.
I can see how this might solve certain problems.
Hi Robert, is this an issue that you are personally dealing with? If so then maybe reading a nightly Bible story with your kids and discussing it with them would bring about the results you are looking for.
One of my favorite childhood memories was when my Dad would illustrate a Bible story for us kids while narrating it. You might think this would require artistic talent, but I assure you that would have ruined the magic. He would always draw in silly things like Pharaohs' chariot getting stuck in the Red Sea mud while he snot-cried. Not exactly Biblical cannon, but it held our attention for sure!
