Four years ago our local doctor retired. It was forced on him by the regulations forced on him by Obamacare.
Forty years of medical records in his office just could not be put on the government electronic records. To much time and cost.
We now have a clinic that has a nurse practitioner not a doctor 8 to 5 Monday thru Thursday and 8 till 12 on Friday.
When you go see her, she just sends you to a specialist 35 miles away.
If you call on Friday afternoon, Saturday, or Sunday you get a recording telling you to call 911 or go to the ER 35 miles away.
And the cost has doubled.
This is what happens when the government tries to make things better. Why didn't they just leave thing alone.

The American system is so different than the Canadian system. I wouldn't advocate for either one being better than the other, but I do see some things that work well here.

What part of this statement is a lie?

Well, Ford did improve their product, but the government did not improve health care.

my daughter worked for them 4 years and never did figure out how it worked and I don't think anybody does honestly. Unless you can take the profit motivation out of healthcare which will never happen here. OH nice truck.

Money, money, money. I think you are right. Lot of folks getting rich on other peoples pain and misery.
Before he had to close his practice, our local doctor accepted what medicare paid him and never charged us any more.
If you did not have insurance, he charged $40 for a visit.
The local clinic takes what medicare pays and we have to pay an additional $36 co-pay.
And she is not even a doctor, just a nurse.
