...but in the way that only book and number show, but when you mouse over the verse book and number, the verse is displayed. I've been wanting to do this for a while and make my posts look cleaner and easier to read. There probably is a way to do this I'm just missing it...

I don't think you can do that here, though I have seen sites that incorporate that function. What you could do is make the verse citation a link to an outside source where the verse is shown, perhaps on Biblegateway.com or Biblehub.com, like this: John 3:16 <- link

Yeah, I'll be doing it that way from now on.
I just thought, because I've seen before it in various places, that it might have been possible through an external source to do it as I described, but I didn't know how.
