Best place to post these requests are in a section of the forums suitable to your request. Not as many people read the new users area. I think there are some pastors on the site, but not sure if any visit the new users section. Also remember to use caution, not everyone on the internet is who they say they are, or will have solid advice.

If you'd like help from someone not a pastor it may help to put the subject matter so people knowledgeable in that area may be more inclined to help, while others without that knowledge may keep away.
