That God does not love ?

If Jesus was the sacrifice for sin, wouldn't that mean that God would love them by sending Jesus to be that sacrifice for them.

I guess what I'm asking, have you ever looked into the eyes of someone God doesn't love or Jesus didn't die for.

Well, Calvinists maintain that God only loves the 'Elect'. However, Scripture tells us that He loves all, desiring them to come to Christ for salvation. Jn 3:16, Rm 5:8.

Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

1 Tim 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
1 Tim 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

God wants all people to be saved and Calvanists do not understand the Bible.

Jesus shed His blood for the whole world including Judas Iscariot and the antichrist but their choices condemned them.

Matthew 18:10 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

All people are born innocent with no sin on their record until they sin.

So they have a shot at salvation which is by making the right choice.

All those rejecting the blood of Christ cannot wash away their sins.

If one considers "love" biblically (!Cor 13:4-7), one sees it as selflessness. That God loves everyone can be seen as he sent his son to die for them. If one considers "love" to be feeling affection for, then it would be more limited to those who do his will.

When someone reads the Bible from cover to cover they see both the love of God and the wrath of God. He loves everyone who comes into the world: However, there are people who cross a line and incur His wrath.

You only have to begin reading 6 chapters into Genesis and what do you find?
God decides to wipe out the world and start over with Noah.
Did God love those people He destroyed? At one time He did.
Their violence was a big reason to destroy them all but 8. Noah was the one who found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

I've only looked at the eyes of those that have 'rejected so great a salvation,' but that's probably because, somewhere, they've been convinced that He doesn't love them.

I did once looked into the dead eyes of a living man; scared the breath out of me. Theology will say he was not beyond redemption, but I think a line had been crossed.

Matthew 18:10 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

I posted this scripture with the wrong verse number for it is 18.

But I meant to post this scripture.

Matthew 18:10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

Based on Romans 5:12, sin entered the world through one man, Adam, bringing death to all humanity because everyone sinned in Adam's sin. This leads me to believe in "total depravity", Adam acted as the representative for humanity, passing on sin and a corrupted nature.
However, this is contrasted by Christ, whose obedience brings justification and life to all those who call upon His name in repentance for salvation.

I've looked into the eyes of raving lunatics, psychopaths, murderers, thieves, adulterers and adulteresses, child molesters, baby killers etc.

Not only have I never met anyone that God did not love, but I have never met anyone who was not created in His image.

God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked. But the wicked are among us. There is a great sifting on the way, love your neighbor, but choose your companions wisely.

When we depart from trusting God, and we insist that He not be intimately involved in our personal agendas, we experience calamity and demonic oppression to which His withdrawal exposes us, and we interpret those attacks as being God’s wrath. But God is not Himself doing the evil we are being subjected to. he needs to alllow us the rebellion we are choosing ,so that we reap the consequences of our choices and larn that rebellious choices are self-destructive, so that we can change our mind-set and our behaviour into wiser paths.

You must be speaking of believers. Certainly there's the principle of sowing and reaping in the OT and New.
I was speaking of those who, like pharaoh, were hardened against the Lord.

When I harden my son’s heart by insisting that he stop playing and to clean his room, and he throws a tantrum,,it is not my intention that my command harden his heart, even though I may have expected him to do so. I was not doing anything evil to him, and yet he now has an even bigger mess to cleanup..

I may be wrong, but I can't recall that God hardens the hearts of His children. You can find it throughout the Bible concerning those who are unbelievers and particularly in the Romans 1 category .

As for God's children, he guides, encourages and disciplines at times.

God hates wicked people. “The LORD tests the righteous, but His soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence.” (Psalm 11 v 5) He hates wicked people and detests their ways (Proverbs 1 v 9), their thoughts (Proverbs 15 v 26), their worship (Proverbs 15 v 8), their actions (Proverbs 6 v 16-19), all who do wrong/workers of iniquity (Psalm 5 v 5). He destroys those who tell lies and abhors the man of bloodshed and deceit (Psalm 5 v 6). He singles out as a special object of His hatred the blasphemous deeds of the Nicolaitans, those who seduced God’s people with idolatry and sexual immorality. “Yet this you have: you hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.” (Revelation 2 v 6)

Many believers are caused to harden their hearts by God giving them instructions they do not want to obey. Yet God calls them to obedience nevertheless, and hardens their hearts by doing so.
