When was the gift of prophecy 'done away with', for you are quite wrong in saying that the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1Cor 12v7-11), including prophecy, have been removed, for 1Cor 13v8 teaches that the gifts of the Holy Spirit will be done away with when 'that which is perfect is come' (1Cor 13v10), which is referring to the second coming of Christ, when the Millennium kingdom is set up and we enter into the fullness of the 'powers of the age to come' (i.e. the full ministrations of God, the Holy Spirit)? Heb 6v5.
'That which is perfect has come' 1Cor 13v10 certainly does NOT refer to the Scripture canon!
Acts 2v16-21, 38,38, clearly teaches that the baptism in the Holy Spirit, the gifts of the Holy Spirit and ministries are available to EVERY believer throughout the WHOLE of the age of Grace right up until the sceond coming of Christ and neither is there ANY Scripture that limits or contradicts Acts 2v16-21,38,39! Dan 11v32, 1Cor 12 v7-11,28, Eph 4v7-16, Rev 11v3-6.
