Ok I'm asking because I've never seen this .. I'm "learning" to recognize the holy spirit in talents God has given us ..

these are the identifying marks I see..

Eyes
Spirit in general while using talent
Mastery of talent
Sharing of talent freely (doing so on you tube)


this is so interesting to me because I've never seen it before ..and may be why im so intrigued with it .. But im wanting to become more familiar in what the Holy Soirit looks like in our talents and gifts.. I'm just coming to learn about it ..
Just checking myself and what better way then to have everyone else look and confirm.. give your imput
Or if you have a video to share recognizing this .. Please post and share .. I would like to become more familiar and learn more about it .. Thanks for sharing y'all ..

We know God wants to make us more like Jesus, so it's reasonable that people who are sincere about following Him will begin to show certain common personality traits (like those of Jesus). Many are listed in Scripture, patience, kindness, gentleness, peacefulness, joy, etc. I think this is part of what you are seeing in their eyes and in their performance.

The problem is I don't think the converse is true. Some people seem to be gifted with such personality traits, and then you find out they are atheists or pagans. I think we have to wait for the fruit of talents shared to be certain. Do their ministries bring people closer to God?

Also, I have seen many times that it is way easier for God to give talent to someone who commits himself to God's service, than it is for God to convince the talented to become committed. When I build music programs, for example, I look for commitment and purity of heart, and at least a small seed of interest in music. After two years, these people are almost always raised to successful ministry and see hearts get changed, whereas churches that attempt to hire professionals to lead their worshup tend to get what they pay for using the coin with the leader's picture on it. They end up something with the world's picture on the performance, and on the worship itself. And hearts are very seldom changed.
 
If anyone cares to investigate, here is his bio from his website. Biography | Igor Presnyakov 35 years, and nothing mentioned about Christian anything. Of course that might not mean anything, he might wish to keep his ministry between God an the churches or people he serves.

Very good points on the heart behind the talent/gifts, kenisyes. It reminds me of 1 Corinthians 13, where if someone has all these gifts but has not love, he is nothing.

I think it's also important to not pin yourself down with your gifts. Sometimes we don't do things because "Oh, well I'm not good at that so I certainly can't be used for that, God." God can use us for whatever He wants, and we need to trust Him that He will equip us as He deems fit. Not that we don't share the gifts we have, but to learn to do other things as well.
 
Seems to me many (not all) of our gifts just seem so natural. Like a singer in a church that stands out. People just think 'oh they're such a talented singer' as if its just a random occurrence, when in reality its God gifted.
See, i'm gifted in being rude, obnoxious and offensive. Its just natural, i don't have to try, hahaha.
 
There are 9 fruits of the Holy Spirit and there are also 9 gifts. Two different things. :)

The fruits are listed in Gal 5:22-23
Love
Joy
Peace
Longsuffering (aka patience)
Gentleness
Goodness
Faith
Meekness
Temperance (aka self control)


The 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit are listed in 1 Cor 12:
Word of Wisdom
Word of Knowledge
Faith
Healing
Working of Miracles
Prophecy
Discerning os spirits
Divers kinds of tongues
Interpretation of tongues

Every possible angle it can be looked at.. I always here people talk about being able to identify the HS in all sorts of talents, gifts, and everything else ..I've never really thought to
Look so it's really me being nosey up in the Holy Spirits biznazzz..was Just wondering if anyone else was curious or ever thought about it ..i have no doubt God can do anything through and with anyone ....He tells us to come and know Him,
I thought "well , why not? Why wouldn't wenbe able to recognize this " He tells is ask

Michelle i can tell you right now, you are a prophet. God speaks to you in ways i could never dream of, he shows you deep visions that i only wish i had. And you and him share such a divine relationship, i am very happy for you:D

Blain you are a "precious" Son of God .. His righteous heir .. adopted and approved by Him alone as we all are..
each of us is growing in our relationship with Him.. each learning through His divine lessons as well as His greatness ..
I pray I never reach a day I stop learning , or ever become prideful thinking I have all the answers.. compared to Him no one is great.. We are all people meant to be more like Him.. He has given you wisdom beyond so many of my years ... you are blessed more than you know

No. I am sure God gives us many many gifts all the time. He spoils His kids. I just wasn't really sure what Powemm was talking about when she said "gifts" and then someone mentioned the "fruits" and called them gifts so I thought I would clarify. I had no idea what the gifts of the Spirit were for years and I thought they were the same as the fruits because few people talk about them. I thought maybe Powemm was confused like I was. :)

I think she is talking about individual personality traits or individual God-given talents? or How to discern whether someone else has the Holy Spirit inside them? And how that might shine through their God-given talent. Like when someone who is anointed sings. Am I right Powemm?
