Is your mind fruitful?
• “For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful.” (1Co 14:14).
Why the mind stays unfruitful? Because the person is speaking mysteries, that is to say, things that nobody takes in (not even the own person).
• “For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God. For no one hears, but in spirit he speaks mysteries.” (1Co 14:2).
So, how can we bear fruit, many fruit (John 15:8), if we can’t figure out what Jesus really wish for us? Hence Paul to utter:
• “Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” (Eph 5:17).
Many people (including people that is pastor, deacon, etc.) don’t comprehend what they believe and, in spite of this, they stay repeating what they learn from their religious leaders, like a jargon.
• “desiring to be teachers of the law, neither understanding what they say nor that which they affirm.” (1Ti 1:7).
Result: neither they understand, nor people that hear them, contradicting what Paul taught:
• “but sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and be ready always to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason of the hope in you, with meekness and fear;” (1Pe 3:15);
• “Let your speech be always with grace, having been seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.” (Col 4:6);
• “holding fast the faithful Word according to the doctrine, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and to convict the gainsayers.” (Tit 1:9).
• “Study earnestly to present yourself approved to God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.” (2Ti 2:15).
If you look on what I am saying as exaggerated, mull over, for instance, these questions:
• What is the grace of the Creator?
• What does it mean to be bought by the Lamb’s blood (1Cor 6:20; 7:23; 1Peter 1:18,19)?
• What does Jesus mean when I said that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life?
And what about the hymns of praise? Did you already pay attention carefully to their letters, if they are outright precise in according to the Holy Scripture? What are we really singing?
So, have a nice day letting to sink in your mind everything that Holy Spirit desire to reveal to you so that people around you can be saved by the gospel and crown your head with rejoice and glory (sse 1Thess 2:19; John 16:12-15).
