Once saved, always saved — or can a believer walk away?

Jesus said: "I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." — John 10:28

Paul said: "Nothing… shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." — Romans 8:38-39

But Hebrews says: "For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost… if they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance." — Hebrews 6:4-6

And Jesus also said: "He that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved." — Matthew 24:13

So which is it — is salvation a permanent seal the moment you believe, or is it something you have to hold onto by staying faithful?

Comment below: once saved, always saved — yes or no? Bring your verses.

John 1:9 and Hebrews 4:2 provides insight into the born again and the spiritually stillborn, if you will. The word of God must be mixed with a mustard seed of faith, and once that happens, the child cannot be 'uncreated' and will be nurtured and carried to full termed, because God will not, ever, abort his children.

osas is totally true! study 1st John 5:13, Hebrews 5:9 & John 10:28 & John 3:36.
