Can I just say as a random comment...the original post is VERY long to read.

You might want to shorten it a wee bit.

after all, we had the complete revelation of Gods divine plan of redemption now. It must also have been so obvious to them, just as it is for us. 🤗

As long as they do that, God considers that as "putting their faith in him" and he will see them as righteous before him, as what the prophet Balaam found out in Numbers 23:18-21.

As for Gentiles, before Paul, they have to be saved as a Jew. Gentiles could only be saved as a Jew, meaning they have to be willing to be circumcised and under the Law of Moses (Exodus 12:48). There was no other way a Gentile can be saved.

So then, are you affirming that they were eternally saved without hearing the Gospel?

Our God is not bound or beholden to what man does or does not do. He is the Savior of his people and he is GOD
and he saves ALL his people without fail. He is Jesus Christ and I thank God for his wonderful saving grace and including me in his chosen blood bought people. No man is going to thwart God. If he wants you to be saved you will be. Other wise he is not god but a weak and ineffective god waiting till you let him do something. My God is strong faithful just and true. Thank God for his finished and amazing grace..HE has a people and they will be saved and thankful forever . he gives eternal life to whom so ever he wills.......men dont like this but Our God will not fail. Thank God for his mercy and grace. Praise Christ the Lord forever

What’s not to like about what you’ve written? God will save all His people, ie, all who have faith in Jesus.

Lost "believers" can understand. Verse 22 says unto all and upon all "them that believe". That is why Jesus instructed his Apostles to go and preach to the lost sheep (God's born again children) of the house of Israel. The natural man cannot discern the things of the Spirit and, therefore, cannot believe (1 Cor 2:14).

Gospel means "good news".

The good news they heard is Exodus 19:5

5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:

They are not eternally saved like us now then though, since Jesus has not died and rise again yet. They can be cut off from the covenant if they disobey or worship other Gods.

I may have been somewhat deceiving with my question. I do believe that the old testament saints were were quickened to a new spiritual life with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit just the same way that all his children through out time are born again. I do not think that hearing the Gospel is a requirement for possessing eternal life.

How can they be cut off, if Jesus said of those he died for, that they would be raised up at the last day without the loss of even one?

Well, I believe faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. (Romans 10:17). That is true for every time period.

So for the Jews in the OT, before Jesus was a reality for them:
  1. They heard what Moses told them about what God required from them: Obey the Law, circumcise their male kids, sacrifice an animal every time they fail to keep the Law.
  2. They follow those requirements out of faith in what God told them.
  3. God sees them as righteous because they put their faith in him
In fact, God told Cain the same thing way back in Genesis 4:7. If he did well, like Abel, God would have accepted him.

But now, God requires us to cease from our works and put our faith in Jesus's finished works. Romans 4:5 stated it well

But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

If we do exactly that, he sees that as faith, and will now accept us as righteous. We are way more blessed than the Jews in the OT, because that righteousness is eternal, unlike theirs.

Genesis 17:14 provided an example how they can be cut off

14 And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant.

Salvation during the OT was much less secure than us now, because they did not have Christ and his blood. That is why the grace dispensation rocks! :)
