Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving - I ate too much. This has been a beautiful Sabbath day In Clearwater, Florida and had a wonderful sermon at church with an 83 year old lady who was baptized. It was so very nice.
Ya, have a great EVERY DAY SABBATH guys and gals as the Lord teaches us in the NEW TESTAMENT.

Hope you are feeling better.
I am ashamed to admit that I have been coasting for a few years in this freedom of just believing in Jesus and not doing so much about it. I was raised to believe like some here. Now I'm studying sincerely and see the error of my ways. I know I am saved by the grace of God, I want to be pleasing to Him too. It's why I visit threads like these, I want to learn more of the old ways, since I've been a Sun worshiper unaware. Grace and peace in Christ.

I'm reading scripture, and I see..the apostles are deciding how to give milk to the Gentiles, because they have not been trained from birth the ways of God. So they decide on a few to give (laws) so as not to overwhelm. If just these few can be grasped it can lead to a fuller understanding. Precept upon precept...
And also I must say, in finding this site and seeing who has peace and who does not, well, it makes one curious as to what the peaceful have found. A better way, I think. More importantly, what God said.

The true motivation for keeping the law, Jesus said, was love (see Matthew 22:36-40; John 14:15). The Old Testament agreed (see Deuteronomy 6:5; Leviticus 19:18). Yet we cannot generate this love out of our own sinful natures, because it is the agape love, the self-sacrificing love, that originates with God. Therefore, God gives us this agape love as His gift to us through His Holy Spirit (see 1 Corinthians 12:31; 13:13). He doesn't give us this love so that it will flow back to Him; that would make God Himself self-centered! Rather, He gives us this unselfish love so that we can reflect it toward others as evidence of the saving power of the gospel over self (see John 13:34, 35; Romans 5:5; 2 Corinthians 5:14, 15). How can I best live this day in such a way that I give myself entirely to God's care? I did the best I could for myself all week long, I used the strength God gave me to care and work.
This day, I try not to do for myself, I am trying to just allow God to lead in everything.
The Jews said that to do that you couldn't walk but so far, or even light a match for yourself. Jesus said that wasn't the way to do it. I am trying to put on Christ, to give over control just like Christ wants me to.
