Really, many scholars say that Revelation is a book of symbols, therefore it should be taken symbolically!

At the very least, we shouldn't be reading our culture back into John's culture! People who spend all their one worrying about whether they are going to lose their salvation over a cafeteria lunch really need to spend some time in prayer and in the Word to find the things God really wants us to spend our time on!

I personally wouldn't have it done............but it has nothing to do with End Times........given the amount of personal information the Government, and almost anyone with a computer has/can have on any of us........this chip is no more dangerous. They already have so many ways of tracking our location, our purchases, what we read, say, email, eat........goodness............
 
I will not take the chip......I will take my chances with God and eating deer and turkey HAHAHAHAHHAH for sure.....

Chips are old and outdated with the advances in biometrics. I believe the so called mark will be more along the lines of a supernatural and spiritual mark which people will be given> This mark will change people into a human spiritual being hybrid enabling them to be on equal footing to angels in the war to come.

This is why people taking the mark will be destroyed without judgment or being able to have a second chance at salvation, a sprit that is supernaturally corrupted and changed can not be saved or allowed into heaven.

People should not be afraid of things that they perceive to be something that could be used as a mark.

Over and over "marks/stamps" are spiritual.
Show me a single verse that says it's a literal stamp......not your guesswork?

No, he just expected men and women to have their heads cut off (Paul), be crucified upside down (Peter), burnt at the stake, be drowned, frozen to death, shot, sawn asunder, used as TIKI torches to light Nero's orgies, etc. (The untold millions who died for the cause of Christ and will when they loose their heads for the cause of Christ...Why your at it...do a word study on Circus and see where that word came from and how it was used........Sometimes godly people and their children are allowed to suffer for the cause of Christ.............

Not being mouthy...just making a point....the prophecies concerning the end of the age are applicable to the end of the age....How can the entire world see the two witnesses rise from the dead and SEE them ascend into heaven....unless the technology of the world on line at that time is used......You say many men see Revelation as symbolic....Well just as many see the book as literal with both symbolic and actual events.........
 
Personally, I would refuse the chip and after they fired me issue a public press release and then sue them in open court for violating my human rights under natural law and religious liberties.

But that's just me, of course.

While you're at it, check the history of Islam.
It's happening (no buying, selling, dying for Christianity)....and has been happening for centuries in other countries/ Middle East.

Just because we haven't seen it,..... doesn't mean that the Bible prophecy isn't being fulfilled.

If you want to push it DC--do so.
No scripture/ proof to back this up the literal mark....but be my guest!!

I may very well die during that time, but it will be here at my home.
I may even take one of them before they get me.

Why so angry Angela? I am not the least bit worried about the antichrist or the mark. This is merely an informational news story. You chose to engage in discussing it. Your post sounds like you fear the possibility that the mark is literal.

Okay, mow that just doesn't make any sense to me. Sorry Jesus told the disciples not to worry about what they would say when arrested and brought before the councils. The Holy Spirit would give us the words that we should speak... and those words would serve as a testimony. That is to be a testimony or our witness for Jesus. "Taking one of them with you" would not be a testimony, other than a lack of trust.

Peter took out a sword and cut off the ear of the high priests servant... he was rebuked for that. Jesus said not to fear those who can kill the body... but, not the soul. Think about it... if a Christian is arrested and brought before a judge to give some kind of defense, that would be the primo chance to share your faith.

And, in this day of twitter, youtube, etc... what if these "trials" were aired for the sickos out there? Your witness and testimony could reach a person who hasn't made his or her decision to believe. You might be the only gospel that they will ever hear.
 
Angela isn't angry, I'm not sure why you read it that way. She's just concerned that some are missing the field for the trees. Personally, I don't believe the mark is physical, but I still don't like the idea of the micro-chip or whatever beneath my skin. I'm not good with needles and I don't want any foreign objects in my body.
