John 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
Hebrews 1:4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
Jesus came in the Father's name.
The Son inherited the name from the Father.
The Holy Spirit comes in the name of Jesus.
Jesus is the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
Jesus said baptize in the name which is singular.
And those are not names but titles.
Jesus is the name.
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Colossians 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Jesus is the only saving name and everything we do in word or deed is to be done in Jesus' name.
So why would we baptize in the titles which would be a contradiction.
Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Jews were baptized in Jesus' name.
Remission

Acts 8:14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:
15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:
16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
Samaritans were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
Acts 19:3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
Gentiles were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
And those that were baptized unto John's baptism had to be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
If it were the titles why would the disciples disobey Jesus.
But they did not disobey Jesus and knew He was telling them the name is Jesus the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
Ephesians 1:21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.
Jesus is the name that is above all names even in the world to come.
It is above the name Jehovah which means physical deliverance for Jesus is spiritual deliverance.
Which it is the highest revealed name given to mankind for their benefit which God's name reveals His characteristics.
So Jesus has to be the Father's name.
Which the Son inherited that name.
Romans 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection.
Water baptism is to identify with Jesus' death and if we do that we will rise to newness of life by the Spirit, resurrected.
We have to identify with the man Christ Jesus which the sins of the world was placed on Him and He died, was buried laying down those sins, and resurrected.
By us repenting dying out to sins, being water baptized laying down those sins, and receiving the Spirit.
When Jesus was buried that is when He laid down those sins.
So when we are water baptized identifying with Jesus' death we lay down our sins, remission of sins.
