Been a right cold month all month here. Temperature was in the negatives earlier today here in Ohio. Right now according to weather.com it has warmed up a bit though to 9 F (-13 C). Stay safe and warm everybody.
O.K. peeps.......the heat has kicked on in the house more than once since yesterday I have it set at 67 in the house so that means the thermostat has to hit 66 to kick on and it has done it repeatedly....So that means it is COLD outside.....burrrr. I promise not to complain too much as I HATE 98 degree weather and sweating.......so I am enjoying (not) the break and the cool weather.......lol
In cooking I have been thinking of ways to use the oven so I can really heat up the kitchen and make at least one room in the house balmy.....Reminding me of what Florida should really be like...
Why is it always windy when it is cold?......I mean Blond thinks it should be a stiff breeze when it is 98 so as you sweat you could cool off with the breeze right?
Well now, that's a great attitude! Just kidding.........difference is........we intentionally moved to live in the Deep South.....repeat......Deep South.........not suppose to be shivering me timbers in the DEEP SOUTH.
It's official the Blond has moved from the snow bunny category to the desert rat category.....oh well I guess it is a sign of old age since it took me to 60 to change categories..... I am fluffy too so you would think I have enough insulation.....oh well as my friend Little Sitting Elephant would say.......SIGH.......
i drove to the market across the Hudson at dawn today.
the car said the outside temp was -10.
so, natch, when i paid the toll, the electric window roll up, er thingy? was frozen and wouldn't roll back up.
the ride home? it was .
ps--shout out to the Lord! the temp rose to 15 degrees just before the snow started,
which was warm enough to get the window back up!!
also--why is the teenagers' car in the garage?

It's a high of 73° right now here in Central Texas, a low of 53° tonight.. and by Monday a high of... 37° ??? Yikes.
Anyhow, if you wanna warm up your kitchen, make some fluffy homemade biscuits! They're easy to make, you can have 'em for dinner with mashed potatoes & gravy, or make a yummy snack by spreading strawberry jam on 'em.
