Before Christ there is NO help in our succumbing to trials. But After Christ we can overcome them and must to be saved during them.
Jesus overcame to the biggest of trial in the power He was born with so likewise we can over come. Besides He said we were more than conquerors. wow.
You know, when the enemy steals joy it is " like " an enemy nation ruled by hatred that makes war against your nation, takes over the land, and changes all the rules and customs.
You wouldn't want that to happen. You would do everything to fight them, right? Who wants to be a citizens of hatred, anger and bitterness?
THen why should we allow the enemy to steal that which The Holy Spirit has given to us?
Jesus said joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness...Love etc... are all ours. Yet little by little we allow the enemy to crawl in and steal what belongs to us. Jesus died to give those things to us. He won the land for us, and in His Power we need to keep it and not give it away again.
Erosion of the soul steals the joy and strength of a believer. So, does a believer just sit back and allow the flesh to rule as though His Spirit has no power during trials? or do we lean in and obey Him?
You see, There is a higher measure of Faith by allowing the Holy Spirit to glorify the Son in us. So, Fight the good fight of Faith, press on.
No, IT is surely not fun to shine in the dark if you are a wick, but that wick is burning in oil to keep the light shining. And the candle may get hotter the longer it burns, but in the end, he who is near the candle will not stumble around in the dark....
