COMPAIRING MATTHEW 13:36-43 WITH REV. 14:14-20

36 Then he left the crowds and went into the house. And his disciples came to him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds of the field.” 37 He answered, “He who sows the good seed is the Son of man; 38 the field is the world, and the good seed means the sons of the kingdom; the weeds are the sons of the evil one, 39 and the enemy who sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the close of the age, and the reapers are angels. 40 Just as the weeds are gathered and burned with fire, so will it be at the close of the age. 41 The Son of man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all evildoers, 42 and throw them into the furnace of fire; there men will weep and gnash their teeth. 43 Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.
------------------------------------------------- Reaping the Earth’s Harvest----Rapture and Resurrection

Rev. 14:14 Then I looked, and lo, a white cloud, and seated on the cloud one like a son of man, with a golden crown on his head, and a sharp sickle in his hand. 15 And another angel came out of the temple, calling with a loud voice to him who sat upon the cloud, “Put in your sickle, and reap, for the hour to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is fully ripe.” 16 So he who sat upon the cloud swung his sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped.

The Unririghteous enters the Bowl Judgements for about 3.3 years

17 And another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle. 18 Then another angel came out from the altar, the angel who has power over fire, and he called with a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, “Put in your sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for its grapes are ripe.” 19 So the angel swung his sickle on the earth and gathered the vintage of the earth, and threw it into the great wine press of the wrath of God; 20 and the wine press was trodden outside the city, and blood flowed from the wine press, as high as a horse’s bridle, for one thousand six hundred stadia.

Remember the harvest is at the closing of the age and Jesus did say he was coming a second time ( Hebrews 9:28 ) and in 1 Corithinians 15:23. But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ.

Thank you Pilgrimshope for connecting the dots on this!

As we witness the reaping of the earth in Rev 14:15-16, this is why Peter by the Spirit said this is the Great and Glorious Day of the Lord. For the prophet Joel said it was the Great and Terrible Day of the Lord.------- How can it be both??

Because the timing of this event is at the seventh Trump or Last Trump ( 1 Corithinians 15:51-52 ). First the resurrection of the righteous, then the unrighteous are thrown into the terrible Bowl Judgements

I wanted to add that Peter tied the Day of the Lord with Pentecost when he spoke in Acts 2. And why not as the church started on Pentecost and why not end on Pentecost for the righteous.

The few who survive the bowl judgements and the sheep from tne sheep/goat judgement who enter into the millenium with flesh and blood will worship the Lord on the feast of Tabernacles.

Zechariah 14:16 Then every one that survives of all the nations that have come against Jerusalem shall go up year after year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of booths.

because brother it’s going to be wonderful for some folks and Terrible for others the same day

“and to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; when he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe in that day.”
‭‭2 Thessalonians‬ ‭1:7-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

If your a believer waiting for Christs return it’s going to be a day of victory and glory and our lords appearance at long last with everlasting glory for all

but if your opposed to Christ this very same time it’s going to be the worst day in human history worse than the flood or anything before or after for you the non believer

It can be both based on the two groups always associated with the same judgement those who accept the lord and those who don’t

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;

but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

a same process two results based on faith

“Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth;

they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life;

and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:28-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

a Jesus is foretelling this day when the dead are raised by his voice at the last trump

“And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭20:13-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

everyone is judged some are given everlasting life others are cast into the lake of fire the second death it’s going to be a radically different experience for a believer and a non believer is my point it’s the same judgement but two results one that’s terrible another that’s wonderful based on belief or non belief
