Jesus Christ was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate. St. Matthew 27:35,38 says, "Then they crucified Him, and divided His garments ... Then two robbers were crucified with Him, one on the right and another on the left." NKJV OSB page 1325.

The Quran is full of lies and stupidity. It's the psychotic rantings of an egomaniac that believed himself to be enlightened and educated.
Why people follow it, I have no clue. It says if there is even one error to be found in the Quran then the whole thing is a lie. Bold statement. Unfortunately for them, it is full of errors. That's why they have to bend over backwards to try and justify and defend it. Even ONE MISTAKE makes the whole thing false. They're stuck in the 7th century forever.

Flavius Josephus, who writes in his Jewish Antiquities 18.63-64:
At this time there appeared Jesus, a wise man. For he was a doer of startling deeds, a teacher of the people who receive the truth with pleasure. And he gained a following both among many Jews and among many of Greek origin. And when Pilate, because of an accusation made by the leading men among us, condemned him to the cross, those who had loved him previously did not cease to do so. And up until this very day the tribe of Christians, named after him, has not died out.
Pontius Pilate was not a bad man. He actualy was a man of integrety. He knew Christ had done no wrong. Tiberious Caesar had told him to let the people have their way in religious matters. Caiphas the high preist was the bad guy.
