You're right - I checked the etymology of "Bethlehem" from a Bible site and it said this:

The name Bethlehem: Summary

MeaningHouse Of Bread, House Of WarEtymologyFrom (1) the noun בית (beth), house, and (2) the verb לחם (laham), both to war and to eat.

Yes, that's interesting that Jesus - the bread of life - came from a town whose name means 'house of bread!" Remarkable!
