12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

13 For he of whom these things are spoken pertains to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.

14 For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood.

15 And it is yet far more evident: for that after the embodiment of Melchisedec there arises another priest,

16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.

17 For he testifies, You are a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

18 For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.

19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

20 And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest:

21 (For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord swore and will not repent, You are a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)

22 By so much was Jesus made a guarantor of a better testament.

23 And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:

24 But this man, because he continues ever, has an unchangeable priesthood.

25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever lives to make intercession for them.

26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

27 Who needs not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

28 For the law makes men high priests which have infirmity; but the word (o. logos) of the oath, which was since the law, makes the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.
 
Well in said Jesus is our High priestwho sits in Heaven advocating for us serving day and night for us " now the reason og this post is for the edification of the body , for this thread you will need an understanding of ot and nt , for Our understanding I would if you world please help in helping the brethren understand the office of Christ Our Lord Our God , Our High priest

Who needs not daily, as those high priests,
to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's:
for this he did once, when he offered up himself.
(Hebrews 7:27)

ALL redemption is found in Christ Jesus!
 
We know Christ is Our High Priest Advocating For us continually as I have seen Him in heaven doing so

Hebrews 3: 1, Says Jesus is the Apostle and High Priest of our confession.
The meaning of, "Confession" is,
"Agreeing with God. And saying the same as God".
So as we agree with what God says in His word, And say what God says, Jesus is able to mediate as High Priest for us.
That is one of His present day Ministries.


For instance, God says we are healed, Isaiah 53: 3--5. Matt 8: 16--17.
And we were healed, 2 Pet 2: 24. So we have to agree with God, and say we are healed. [Faith says we are healed].


God says we are,
"More than conquerors, Rom 8: 37. Always triumphant, 2 Cor 2: 14.
and have faith that gives us the victory that overcomes the world, 1 Jn 5: 4--5".


These blessings are how God sees us, We need to see ourselves living in divine health and victory, And confess it.
And let Jesus High Priestly Ministry work for us.
 
This is a study done on the role of the high priest in the OT based on Logos Software.It is to give the background for Christ, our high priest to better understand the role Christ plays in our life today.

When the Hebrew people needed to know the will of God they went to the high priest.He had a vest with precious stones called the Urim and Thummin that in some way could give the will of God, only the high priest could wear this vest.Numbers 27:21.

The high priest had to offer a sin offering not only for the sins of the whole congregation, but also for himself (Leviticus 4:3-21). When a high priest died, all those confined to the cities of refuge for accidently causing the death of another person were granted freedom (Numbers 35:28).

The most important duty of the high priest was to conduct the service on the Day of Atonement, the tenth day of the seventh month of every year. Only he was allowed to enter the Most Holy Place behind the veil to stand before God. Having made a sacrifice for himself and for the people, he then brought the blood into the Holy of Holies and sprinkled it on the mercy seat, God’s “throne” (Leviticus 16:14-15). He did this to make atonement for himself and the people for all their sins committed during the year just ended (Exodus 30:10). It is this particular service that is compared to the ministry of Jesus as our High Priest (Hebrews 9:1-28).

In understanding the role of the high priest, we can better comprehend the significance of Christ offering Himself for our sins once for all (Hebrews 9:26; 10:10, 12). Through Christ’s sacrifice for us, we are sanctified and set apart for Him. By entering God’s presence on our behalf, Christ has secured for us an “eternal redemption” (Hebrews 9:12). As Paul has written, “For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2:5).
 
Just before passover as I detest the word feaster as I won't say that word directly I saw Our Lord advocating for us before the throne standing over the mercy seat as He stood with His hands lifted , moments like this are special to me . But no more sacrifices for sin if any astray we can confess our sins , just like that confession and repentance from sin , also the High priest used the sacrifice for the ignorant sins that the peoples ignorance be forgiven
