Jesus, the Only one is trustworthy.
Don’t trust in people; they change:
• “Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble. He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.” (Job 14.1,2).
• “The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field: the grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.” (Isaiah 40.6-8).
Do not rely on time; it passes:
• “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:” (Ecc 3.1)
Don't trust in your heart; it deceives itself:
• “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” (Prov 14.12);
• “For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will cause to cease out of this place in your eyes, and in your days, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride.” (Jer 16.9);
• “Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths. The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.” (Isaiah 59.7,8).
Trust in Jesus!
• “For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.” (Rom 10.11).
He never fails!!!
• “Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.” (I Reis 8.56)
• “And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof.” (Joshua 23.14).
After all:
• “He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.” (Prov 28.26).
