IMO, Jesus had a body guard security detail of angels who, as long as He obeyed God, protected Him from harm until it became time for Him to be arrested.I do not recall this scene of Jesus being brought to a cliff ever being included in any Jesus film.
My question is: how did Jesus pass through the midst of an angry mob?
He must have used supernatural powers.
Did Jesus temporarily blind or paralyze them?
Did He turn invisible?
Luke 4
29 And they rose up and drove him out of the town and brought him to the brow of the hill on which their town was built, so that they could throw him down the cliff.
30 But passing through their midst, he went away.
Psa 91:11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
Psa 91:12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
That detail pushed back the mob who came to arrest Him, as they had been commissioned to do during His lifetime.
Jhn 18:6
When Jesus said, “I am He,” they drew back and fell to the ground.
But then, the Father stood them down, so that Jesus could be taken.
Jhn 18:10 Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.
Jhn 18:11 So Jesus said to Peter, “Put the sword [back] in its sheath! Shall I not drink the cup which My Father has given Me?”
Jhn 18:12 So the cohort and their commander and the officers of the Jews arrested Jesus and bound Him,
Jhn 18:13 and led Him to Annas first; for he was the father-in-law of Caiaphas, who was high priest that year.
