This is a post for those who are suffering, especially those who blame God and see no answers. I've been in that state myself and I know how hard it is to understand what is going on. Be assured that God knows and God cares. Jesus has endured every kind of suffering, more than we can know in this lifetime and without one sin ever.
Hebrews 4:15 "For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who in every respect has been tested as we are, yet without sin."
Hebrews 5:8 tells us the point of suffering: it is so that we might learn to obey God. For example, Jesus chose Judas, the disciple who betrayed Him. He did this according to God's instructions. Jesus also waited until His friend Lazarus was dead before he went to Bethany. He endured the harsh comments of others who thought Him heartless, and the unbelief of those who should have known better.
We have choices in our Christian lives. We can become bitter and resentful over troubles that come our way. Or we can turn to God in our troubles and receive the help we need. King David was appointed King of Israel as a teenager. His family treated him with disdain. He fought wild animals to protect the family flock and defeated Goliath. Yet he refused to topple King Saul, even though the jealous Saul sought to kill him. Job seems to have suffered unjustly. Yet God never explained to Job why he went through the ordeal. And Job had an encounter with God that changed Job forever.
If we will accept trials without complaint, turning to God in times of trouble, we will find the help that we desperately need. Complaining about God cuts us off from help, just like the Israelites perished in the wilderness. Complain to God. He loves us and has the answers that we need so much.
This is not theology or theory. Many can testify to God's goodness as He delivered them from impossible situations or enabled them to endure them. I'm one of those people.
