Actually, I have attended some Messianic services and it did not feel comfortable. On the other hand, there have been Christian services in which I did feel comfortable, so if I were to continue, I would attend a more conventional Christian Church.
Larry, have you read the New Testament? At any of the congregations you've been at, did you hear a clear presentation of the Gospel of Christ? True Christianity is primarily about salvation of the soul from eternal punishment. You don't hear that in a lot of church meetings these days. The gospel of Christ is about being set free from sin and escaping eternal punishment through faith in Christ as your Savior. In your quest to open up to Christianity, I hope and pray you'll open to Jesus Christ as your Savior.

I’ve attended two Messianic synagogues and people visiting them would have very different experiences, so not all are the same and there are likeness differences in churches even within the same denomination. Do you mind if I ask if you can go into more details about what did or did not make you feel comfortable?
It was quite a while ago, but I think that the congregration was making a stretch.

I am Jewish and with my Christian wife's encouragement, I would like to more open to and accepting of Christian belief and spirituality
your wife is wise.
what to do:
1. become a born again Christian immediately. 2nd Corinthians 6:2, Psalm 95: 7,8 & Hebrews 3:7,8 main theme: NOW is the time for salvation, never later.
purchase a Bible with explicit clear liner notes or study helps. example: KJV Nelson study Bible
3. read the Bible as often as possible. as a born again Christian, you have the Holy Spirit to assist you in understanding the Bible. read & study it with an open mind. the H.S. is the only person, place or thing that reveals God, Jesus & the H.S. are true along with the Bible too.
4. everything belongs to Jesus so focus on Him. verses: Ephesians 1:22,23, Colossians 1:19 & 3:17, & Matthew 28:18
5. here are some highly important verses to memorize: Psalm 19: 7, 119: 18, John 3:5, 33, 14:16,17, 9:31, 16:13, 1st John 2:3, 4:13, 5:10,13. John 3:5 teaches that we MUST BE BORN AGAIN to be saved.
6. ask this way: "God, i ask you in the name of Jesus Christ........."
7. confess & repent your sins every day to the Lord.
blessings to you.

Hi Larry112 glad you are posting again, welcome back to CC! My dad was Jewish and believed that Jesus was a good man. It was dificult at first to talk to him about Christianity but when he realized it didn't mean giving up all the wonderful OT and that Jesus was in fact a Rabbi, he gradually received Him. Then he went all out, lol, and was outspoken about Jesus🙌 God bless and guide you and your family always🙏✨
