Hi, I am having a dilemma in regards to my job. I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place to post this but anyway. I have worked in a secular mental health clinic for 6 years in office work reception, insurance etc. at first I was a new believer and thought everyone needs someone to talk to. But recently I have been feeling may be this is not a good place to work due to their "person centered" approach. Meaning they more or less have to affirm everyone. I don't know if I'm okay with working for a place that treats sin so lightly. On the other hand, I don't know of where you can work where it's completely unavoidable to encounter this. (For example a company you work for makes a product you don't support, or an insurance company that covers services you don't agree with etc) so I don't want to be inadvertently supporting sin. So I don't know if I should stay or try to find a new job. My options are pretty limited due to where I live and the competitiveness of jobs. It would be even more difficult to find one who has morals that perfectly align with my own. Any thoughts? Anyone else struggle with this?

As you point out anywhere you work is going to support things you're against. Even working for a Christian company is no guarantee, as I once discovered.
All you can do is check your conscience to see what you can and what you can't tolerate.
For example I could never work at a bar, because it would bother my conscience too much. While I don't think alcohol is a sin I just don't care to be around it. Never have.
Perhaps if you feel this oversteps some things for you start looking, but don't be in a hurry. While looking perhaps you'll feel lead to stay. Or perhaps you'll know it's right to leave and God will provide something. There s no rush to decide, or to get a new job. But no reason you can't take some steps either.

Its all about money honey, you've got to support yourself first.. You can't insist that your morality be applied to everyone else. Everyone has their own sense of right and wrong, society accepts things that you don't agree is proper or moral.
But I personally wouldn't give a person affirmation of anything I adamantly opposed. Persuading someone to do or be something that violates your own sense of morals isn't something I'd be comfortable with, I'd feel like a hypocrite doing that.
Without knowing the specifics of what your wrestling with, I doubt anyone can give you a definitive answer. If your job is office and insurance work, I'd just roll with it. There are Christian pharmacist who are required to fill prescriptions for the morning after pill, police officers who may be required to shoot others, so the job dictates your duty despite your conscience.
Remember that the disciples didn't like Matthew because he was a tax collector who harassed the Jews for Rome's sake, but he was just a guy doing his job, and it didn't seem to bother Jesus? I personally wouldn't work in an abortion clinic, promote gay weddings, etc, but only you can define what you can live with... jmo

How much are you against in products or services that looking for a new job is that difficult? If you don't want to work for a company that makes sex toys, for instance, than don't apply for the job. I've had upwards of a dozen jobs in my life and gone on at least seven interviews per job, and in all that, there was only one job interview that I turned down the job before it was ever offered to me. Specifically because the job was bribing men into buying vast quantities of fluorescent lights. I have no problems selling something because it's good. I have problems bribing people.
So, you disagree with their counseling approach? (And I don't blame you for that. It's garbage.) Find a new job. One you do agree with. You don't even have to quit first. Just start looking, and when you find it, give notice. It's not this complicated.
Thank you for all the replies. Im not that against so many products and services, those were just examples. It has more to do with limited jobs where I live and most would pay much less. Anyway my primary concern is being a "partner" of ungodliness. (Eph 5:7, 2 cor 6:14).

I would say to give the situation to God in a prayer and ask for Him to guide you in the right direction and trust that He is going to do just that. I cannot count the number of times I've sat worrying and trying to figure things out and zero answers come my way. About what to do to make money or whatever. Then when I give up thinking because I just can't figure out what to do, then God comes along and takes care of the situation in a way I never even thought of before. As humans our worries are mute and our guesses to remedies are often well off course of what is truly best. If you really just give it to God, let Him and ask Him to shoulder your burden, I truly believe He is going to figure this out for you.
