Job 19

job wants his friends to be there for him

it shows how much differently people treat him now that this has happened to him

the words of his friends are hurting him

everyone has changed, wife, servants ,relatives n frnds whom all he loved.turned away in his miseries

he think God has given him troubles n yet believes he will be talking with God even at the time of death

Job continues to say that God is causing all this and asks his friends why do they do the same (verse 21-22 "Have pity on me, my friends, have pity, for the hand of God has struck me. Why do you pursue me as God does? Will you never get enough of my flesh?") I think Job would have been satisfied if his friends would've just agreed with him. I think many people are like that (maybe everyone is like that...I know I get like that) - people would rather just have others just agree with them rather than point out any mistake or disagree with what they are saying, just to make themselves feel better and justified. Again, even though they are both wrong, I think it might be better for them to each listen and consider what each other is saying rather than just be stubborn and say that only they are wrong. Maybe they could have gained some good council/understanding and got closer to a better answer.
