Job 20
Zophar feels he has understanding (verse 3) and replies to Job by speaking of how a godless/wicked person lives and how God deals with them. God dealt with the wicked in the old testament with wrath and judgement after the law was given (however, the book of Job was said to be written before Moses' first 5 books of the bible, which would be before the law was written). Zophar believed God's wrath would be poured out on a wicked man ("When he is about to fill his belly, God shall cast the fury of his wrath upon him, and shall rain it upon him while he is eating." Job 20:23) Nowadays under the new covenant, God will "forgive [our] wickedness and will remember [our] sins no more" (Hebrews 8:12)
