7. Verses 30-31. What did Jesus do in their presence and why was it written down?
-Jesus performed many signs. Written so we'd believe he's the Messiah and that we may have life in his name.

Concluding Applications.

1. Mary wept because Jesus was dead and his body was gone. Her joy returned when she realized he was alive. Like Mary, this world has a sense that something really important is missing. Joy can be restored once they realize Jesus lives.

2. Jesus meets sincere seeking unbelief with revelation and truth. These people wanted a reason to believe. They weren't being hard hearted or unbelieving because they hated Jesus. Rather they sincerely wanted to believe and Jesus revealed himself in such a way, that they could believe. We should never be shy about bringing our unbelief before Jesus with sincerity. He is willing to give us revelation and truth.

3. The resurrection of Jesus isn't just for us to have hope and just for us so we can cling to Jesus. Our task is also to go tell others. We should seek to cling to Jesus like Mary wanted to when she learned he was risen. But while clinging to Jesus, we must also bring the message of Jesus to those who aren't clinging to him yet.

4. Like Jesus it might be wise for us to invest our efforts in to honest, sincere seekers of the truth. Much time and emotion can be spent on people who are hard hearted and aren't honestly seeking.

5. Jesus spoke peace in to their troubled hearts while locked in their homes, hiding from the Jews. One word of peace from Jesus can calm our troubled hearts.

6. Jesus breathed the Holy Spirit on them after telling them they are sent. We must rely on the intimate breath of the Holy Spirit as we further the message of Jesus.

7. We have a message of forgiveness.
