Jesus created everything. The Jews believed God created everything. Jesus, among all the things spoken about, was revealing Himself to be the God of creation.
The cost in those days for medical without insurance was making the healing forbidden.

On the contrary, the Jews in Nazareth
believed that Joseph was indeed the Father of Jesus: Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things? (Mt 13:55,56) This belief may have extended to Jerusalem and Judea. And in any event, because Joseph knew the truth, he was "legally" the father of Christ. It is only when Jesus spoke f His Father in Heaven that the Pharisees objected, since that made Him equal with God. So they falsely accused Him of being a demon-possessed Samaritan.
More silliness. Why did Jesus use spit and clay? There is no explanation given other than the fact the Christ did His miracles in all kinds of ways -- sometimes He touched a person, sometimes He spoke a word, sometimes He rebuked and commanded demons to depart, sometimes people simply touched His robe, sometimes He sent them to the priest and they were healed as they went. All this shows that God and Christ are not limited in any way.
It works within a discipline of interpretation called, "isagogics."
Until one knows the details and history of what took place at the time of writing,
we will never truly understand certain passages in our day.
Its a rare and very good skill that some gifted teachers practice to the glory of God.
God has contained in Scripture certain passages that require isagogics before we can understand what was written.
It would be good to keep in mind with the next passage.

God has knowledge hidden from the surface reader as they read the Bible.
That demands that we find a good pastor teacher if they are ever to know fully what God requires of us.

There is a pastor in Charlotte, NC by the name of Donald Hubbard who often gives the Jewish perspective while preaching. Such preaching does give greater perspective and understanding.
