This is what Achan did:

Now Joshua said to Achan, “My son, I beg you, give glory to the Lord God of Israel, and make confession to Him, and tell me now what you have done; do not hide it from me.”

And Achan answered Joshua and said, “Indeed I have sinned against the Lord God of Israel, and this is what I have done: When I saw among the spoils a beautiful Babylonian garment, two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold weighing fifty shekels, I coveted them and took them.

And there they are, hidden in the earth in the midst of my tent, with the silver under it.”

We’re NOT to desire the things of sin. We are to be holy, set apart, consecrated and in blood covenant with Jesus Christ.

His Kingdom is coming and will have no end… Babylon shall fall and NEVER rise again.

If you carefully scrutinize the entire account......there seems to be an outright conspiracy WITHIN the camp of Israel.
So much so that even Joshua himself had a meltdown.

Not dissimilar the golden calf incident and Korah rebellion. And the man gathering sticks of Numbers 15......!

Wow, I just added up all the numbers 1 to 36 and got 666 just like the video said. Very interesting…

I’m not sure why Joshua had a meltdown over 36 men when he had sent 3,000 men to battle Ai…. perhaps because Joshua’s men were running from their enemy… very embarrassing and humiliating especially after destroying Jericho…

Our faith really needs to be in Jesus Christ alone… we don’t care what others think about us.

There is waaaaaay more to it than that. Vastly, profoundly more.

If Joshua himself was freaking out.....it must have been a big deal. Very big. And it was.

You must take 5 or 6 hours and hear those lectures. Download to your phone and listen while driving.
And pass them along to the brethren.

In the battle of Jericho, God only wanted to save Rahab and all her household and all that she had….. also, God wanted all the gold, silver, brass and iron brought into His treasury.

Achan not only took a beautiful Babylonian garment but also took gold and silver…. He stole from God.

And the seventh time it happened, when the priests blew the trumpets, that Joshua said to the people: “Shout, for the Lord has given you the city!

Now the city shall be doomed by the Lord to destruction, it and all who are in it. Only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all who are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent. And you, by all means abstain from the accursed things, lest you become accursed when you take of the accursed things, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it. But all the silver and gold, and vessels of bronze and iron, are consecrated to the Lord; they shall come into the treasury of the Lord.”

So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat. Then the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.
