Hi, there are many, but the following has special meaning.
Psalm 40:1-4 AMP
[1] I WAITED patiently and expectantly for the Lord; and He inclined to me and
heard my cry. [2] He drew me up out of a horrible pit a pit of tumult and of
destruction, out of the miry clay (froth and slime), and set my feet upon a rock,
steadying my steps and establishing my goings. [3] And He has put a new song
in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many shall see and fear (revere and worship)
and put their trust and confident reliance in the Lord. [4] Blessed (happy, fortunate,
to be envied) is the man who makes the Lord his refuge and trust, and turns not
to the proud or to followers of false gods.
Some years ago I had a (very detailed) dream in which I was in a large garden at the
rear of a large house. The first part of the garden was well looked after but the back part
was a bit overgrown and had been left that way to give it a wilder look.
I wondered around the garden and went to the rear part, I was wearing green wellies.
As I stepped onto a certain part at the back, my feet sank into the boggy ground and
the mud just covered the foot part of my boot. I pulled out my foot, though ew and
walked to the front part of the garden.
In the dream I saw a person come out of the house and walk to the rear of the garden.
I tried to warn this person about the boggy area but they did not hear and instead they
walked onto it. But this person sank right down until only their hands were showing!
Suddeny another person came out of the house and together we managed to pull the
sinking person out of the mud, then another person came and sank into the mud and
we had to pull them out also!
In the dream I wondered why I had not sank into the mud and only my foot had got muddy.
Then as I was in that half sleeping state kind of waking up but not quite awake, in my mind
I heard the words Psalm 40.
I looked it up and was gob smacked!
We may think we are sinking in life situations, but we will never sink too far even
though it may feel as if we are. The Lord is the solid rock beneath our feet, He has
given us a firm place to stand.
I suppose the other bible verses which come to mind are the wise and foolish man.
One built on rock, the other on sand. When the storms came the house built on
rock stood firm.
As for the rest of the dream, I won't say much but there is a real possibility it has
a significant meaning with something to take place in the future.

Isaiah 41:9-10 (ESV) you whom I took from the ends of the earth, and called from its farthest corners, saying to you, “You are my servant, I have chosen you and not cast you off”;

Usually I first pour out my feelings to the Lord. What is bothering me, or making me afraid, or just is hurting me.
Then I wait quietly in His presence - I will always get a personal, special word from Him. Either comforting, instructing, or given a new perspective. Many times, He will remind me of a scripture verse. I write those words down, and then if those feelings come back, I read them aloud to myself.
Then I question if I am eating properly and especially getting enough sleep. Lots of the time, it is a purely physical thing. Remember how the Lord put Elisha into a deep sleep when he got depressed? And fed him first before sending him out on another assignment.

Thanks. I was thinking of the book, "A Pilgrim's Progress" today. I never read it in its entirety but I did what I rarely do and read the end...about leaving doubting castle with Faith and trust in the Almighty. I can't say that's even accurate and I am a bit impressed with God to perhaps dig up that book again. Love and blessings -student
