Everyday, I walk into school and hang out with my friends in the hallway. Everything is going great, I'm smiling and laughing..and then that group of kids walk by. You know the ones: the kids that walk, skip, prance, dance, etc. by, being loud and making strange noises with their friends, wearing weird outfits that sometimes includes a tail or cat ears. They always seem to be having such a fun time...and then my friends laugh and make mean comments about how obnoxious and weird they are, and I find myself ashamed and thinking the same thing.

I know judging others is horrible. But recently, I just can't help these thoughts, these judgements, about other people. Sometimes I even voice my opinions out loud to my friends, just to get a laugh. I know only Jesus has the right to judge others, but I can't help it. How can I get rid of this awful habit??

I suggest you take it to the Lord in prayer. Judgement comes as a result of seeing things unexpected. Ask God to fill you with love, care, kindness and to help you accept people as they are. God bless

You should be very careful making fun of others out loud. You might not be in control of your thoughts, but you ARE in control of your words.
try asking yourself before commenting on others what they will feel if they hear you.

sadly we all judge from time to time, but we can at least choose to meet others with friendliness even though we don't think well of them :)

yes, judging is a bad habit that we all do , no matter how hard we try not to. i would tell my daughters never make fun of or judge others , you never know it could be you on the other end of the judging and it will not feel good. when your with your friends just let them know that you are a child of God and you would prefer it if you all stopped making fun and judging. this clearly is bothering you. try speaking to them and you never now you might meet new friends for life and they all might be Christians but wouldn't know that because your looking at the outer appearance , so try and give them a chance

p.s.= when i was younger i used to have at least 9 colors in my hair, 6 earring holes in my ears and cut up my pants, but most of all i was saved and loved God
