God is sovereign, has mysterious purposes , moves in ways we can not understand, is moving even in times of trial and difficulties of our life. The human mind has no capacity to understand God, we will understand only what He wants to reveal .. Sometimes I have dreams that are revelations and spent weeks praying , because my mind can not decipher and only in intense prayer and seeking the Holy Spirit I was unable to find answers and a lot of cases , in most unexpected moments is that the receipt , is sovereign .
'' Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor? ''
Romans 11:3
'' Naaman , captain of the army of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master and highly regarded , because through him the Lord had given victory ( salvation) to Syria. ''
2 Kings 5:1
Here is something interesting , first we see this great warrior, a very outstanding general who had been used to win many battles for the powerful nation of Syria and was held in high esteem by the king of that country. It's interesting because Syria is an enemy nation of Israel, a nation that pursues oppressive and oppressed the people of Israel, and yet here it says that God used Naaman to give victory to Syria . And one wonders : why would God save and defend , and give victory to a nation that is being oppressive and stumbling to his people Israel?
There are several possible explanations that we could give , and in each of them we can see something about the sovereignty of God. The fact that God is sovereign and more mysterious than we sometimes give credit or think. God has purposes that we can not understand .
One sometimes wonders why at this time in which we live so that the wicked prosper ? dishonest people is advancing while the children of God are being oppressed , why does God allow the Church of Jesus suffered so much persecution and advance evil in humanity, and entire nations who do not believe in the Gospel , which are Christians oppressing and trampling Gospel values thrive , and why God sends judgment on these nations and these rulers , and it seems like rather blesses ?
And because God is a player of infinite chess sees things we can not see, is rather a complex God that is moving the pieces of His infinite historical board to bring things to a conclusion that it is according to His complex Will . God sometimes takes a long time to teach us and show us what he has in hand with the different events that happen in the story or even in our own lives , and we have to be patient and understand that God knows what he does.
I believe that Syria was being used by God to discipline Israel, a rebellious nation has always been a proud and arrogant people ungrateful , idolatrous , the God who has given so much and God often used pagan nations around Israel discipline and bring his people to seek Him continually see that in history, God used to enemy nations to force Israel to humble themselves and seek more of God, and repent of their sins. God loves us, and loves Israel , but we also discipline.
I imagine that God used to Naaman to give victory to this nation and to exert pressure that God wanted him to do on his people Israel, to bring Israel to repentance and reconciliation with God. In pain we see his face and looked over EL .
Father may be doing things you do not understand , do this disciplining and trying to give a message for you closer you closer to Him , and you recognize that you need in all areas of your life .
Do not waste anymore time, seek His face and be reconciled with your only God and Jesus, his son , the only mediator between God and men !
