Acts 4:12 - "There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved."
We've all heard the Biblical command to "love your neighbor as yourself"--but have you ever stopped to think about how profoundly this attitude would change the world if we all carried it out? Jesus summed up the entire point of God's law in two phrases, and both of them--loving God, and loving our neighbors--are all about putting the needs of others before our own.
It was Jesus who gave the command to love--but it was also Jesus who lived it out to the full in giving his life for "his own"
