I just feel like I have to tell someone what is going on. I have been in a relationship with a man for a year and a half now. I know God choose us to be together and he is the one I want to marry. If we are obedient God promises us to do impactful life changing things for others through us and ourselves.

When we are getting along well work well together however when we have a disagreement is can be intense, it can start from the smallest thing... Recently we got into a argument and he pulled the chain he gave me off my neck, threw a chair, yelling in my face and blocked me from leaving.

I'm not going to say that it came out of nowhere, I could have not got frustrated with him and used negative raised tone of voice with him, I'm sure that doesn't help.. I'm scared to were this might escalate to.

God says to forgive love unconditionally, we are seen as leaders in the church and I am nervous about telling our pastors or friends about it,

Any advice is appreciated, thank you very much, God Bless

God will help you with that sis I will be praying for you everyday God will answer the prayers

I am so worried for you one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit is self control. When men acted this way before marriage it often gets much worse after marriage. I think you need to step back from this relationship give yourself some time away from him. This will give both of you time to think if you are ready to be together. If he truly loves you with all that is in him ask him to get anger management counseling. If he does this then there is hope but if he comes up with reasons why he can’t then he is not ready for this relationship. Please bring this to God in prayer think if you are afraid now then listen to that it could be the voice of the Holy Spirit trying to get you to look with your eyes wide open. Let go of tunnel vision it gets people in trouble every time. Praying for you and this man.
