I ran across a funny post about minding your own business. It made me laugh; it also caused me to check myself. I am grateful.
Sometimes, I am guilty of not minding my own business even though He encourages us...
and to aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you,
1 Thessalonians 4:11 ESV
I think those words are so powerful, as they not only instruct us what we should do, but also shows how we can love others more, by quieting our minds of unproductive thoughts. If we study to be quiet, stay busy working, the tendency to think on how others are thinking, doing, or being won't surface as much, causing unnecessary burden.
Isn't He so cool? He is so clear that He wants us to extend love and mercy, that He wants us to be used in tangible ways to help serve.
Anyway, it was such a sweet yesterday. I went and watched 80 for Brady with my youngest's Mother in Law. Later, I watched my grandson play some football. He is such a joy to watch. I was even given the privilege of taking a short walk with my granddaughter, yay..

Thank You the laughter Lord, I needed it so.
Lord, help us all to think on others, to genuinely care enough to pray for them, but then help us to leave them at Your feet, knowing others are in Your hands. Be with the lost and broken dear Lord, reveal Your love and mercy. Help us to be Your servants, working with sincere hearts, keeping us quiet in our chatter, but busy with our hands.
